Soft-Aid collects personally-identifiable information on certain areas of the Site when users register, request publications or other information, sign up for conferences and events, apply for jobs, sign-up for our e-newsletter(s), and/or participate in user posting areas, such as bulletin boards, discussion forums, and surveys. The personally-identifiable information collected may consist of a contact information such as full name, company affiliations, titles, mailing addresses, e-mail addresses, and telephone/ fax numbers. For recruiting purposes, we collect any other personally-identifiable information on your resume. You may have the opportunity to purchase publications on the Site, in which case we may collect order information and your credit card information in order to facilitate shipment and payment. Soft-Aid does not collect or store email addresses from submissions on our "Email this Page to a Colleague " web page. Please be advised that communications using either that web page or our "Contact Us" form are NOT transmitted securely; if this is a concern, please cut and paste the contents into your own secure email client or call us directly. What non-identifying Aggregated Iinformation is collected on the Soft-Aid web site? "Aggregated Information" refers to information we gather by aggregating non-personally Identifiable Information to provide a summary of our subscribers. We use Aggregated Information to show usage patterns and to do such things as operate our site. Examples of such aggregated data would be an IP address, browser type or access time. Such Information is not linked to Your Personal Information. We, on occasion, share Aggregated Information with our strategic partners. How may my personally-identifiable information collected from your web site be used? Soft-Aid uses your personally-identifiable information to fulfill your requests for information, to process your requests to participate in conferences and events, to sign you up for our e-newsletter(s), and to evaluate any job applications or other employment-related inquiries that you may submit. Only authorized Soft-Aid personnel and other parties who have agreed to treat this information as confidential are provided access to personally-identifiable information. Are cookies and IP addresses used? Some of Soft-Aid's web sites use cookies; cookies are small pieces of information stored on your hard drive and not on our site. Web sites on which we run on-line events may however use session cookies for session timeout purposes. We do log the IP address of people who use our contact-us form submission tool and some of our portals. We do this to help diagnose problems with our server and to administer the Site. Soft-Aid signs non-disclosure agreements with clients. We also operate under attorney-client privilege with consulting engagements, as requested or deemed necessary.
